Dutch Bros Coffee, a popular coffee chain based in Oregon, is expanding its reach to Northeast Florida. The company has been making waves in the coffee industry with its unique drive-thru kiosks and signature drinks.

With the recent permit issued for a new location in West Jacksonville, Dutch Bros Coffee is set to make its mark in the Sunshine State.

New Location in West Jacksonville

Ganaway Contracting of Roswell, Georgia, has been granted a permit to construct a new Dutch Bros to-go shop at 5733 Roosevelt Blvd. in West Jacksonville.

The drive-thru kiosk will feature a walk-up window with no indoor seating and will be built on a 950-square-foot area.

The project cost is estimated at $450,000, and the site development includes a parking area, two drive-thru aisles, pavement, landscaping, and a trash enclosure.

The location is in the Venetia area, formerly occupied by Larry’s Giant Subs, south of Winn-Dixie.

Other Expansion Plans

Dutch Bros Coffee is also considering expansion at Elevation Pointe, Palencia, and the Shops of Race Track Road in St. Johns County, as well as along Argyle Forest Boulevard in Southwest Jacksonville and Baymeadows at the Point Meadows shopping center in South Jacksonville.

With these new locations, the company aims to bring its unique coffee experience to more people in the region.

Dutch Bros Coffee is known for its signature drinks, which include cold brew, chai, hot coffees, energy drinks, teas, lemonades, smoothies, and its signature Dutch sodas. The chain also offers a limited menu of pastries with no cooking on-site.

The name is pronounced “Bros” and not as “brothers.” Dutch Bros Inc. is based in Grants Pass, Oregon, and has been expanding rapidly. As of September 30, 2023, it had 794 locations in 16 states.

The company expects to open at least 150 new shops in 2024, of which at least 130 will be company-operated. The company projects revenue of $950 million to $1 billion for the fiscal year, which is the calendar year.
